What to do on New Year's Eve...

New Year's Eve is one of the most stressful nights of the year when it comes to figuring out what you want to do. Should you host a dinner party, go to an expensive club, stay in and watch the ball drop...the choices are endless. In New York City, even with all the options, there is still a fuss about what to do and where to do it. Most people, both visiting and living in the city want to go out, have a great time, enjoy good food & drinks and experience the World Famous Times Square Ball Drop without spending $500 or more like some venues in the area tend to charge and without having to stand outside in the cold all day just to get a glimpse of the ball drop!

If you take the time to do your research and really look at what is offered in the city, you will see there is PLENTY you can do without spending an arm-and-a-leg and yet still be right in the heart of all the action! Many restaurants in the area tend to host NYE Parties! One of those venues happens to be Applebee's! At both our 42nd Street (Times Square) and 50th & Broadway locations we offer an Open Premium Bar, All-you-can-eat Chef Selected Buffet, Dance Floor, (2) DJ's, Party Favors, views of the Famous Ball Drop and LOADS of fun for you and your friends!

In fact check out one very Happy Applebee's New Year's Eve customer!

"I'm only going to tell you about Applebees New Years Eve Party. I know you're thinking, "Go all the way to NYC for New Years Eve and he goes to an Applebees?!". I'm telling you, we had a great time! We were guaranteed we would be able to go outside and actually see the ball go down live and we actually did. I planned this trip for my wife and originally planned to stand outside to watch the ball go down until I found out we would have to stand outside for at least 10 hours with No rest rooms. Can't do that anymore so I scoured the Internet for a party where we would have food, drinks and a rest room. Not an easy task I discovered until That only Applebees guaranteed for one price we would have all the food and drink we could handle, bathrooms and a spot outside on the sidewalk to see the ball go down. I called in late October and talked with Shaira from Applebees and because of her, i ordered 2 tickets. Ali, the manager, was outstanding! He took great care of us along with all of the wait staff. A DJ played and while everyone danced, the food and drinks kept coming. Outstanding night only 1/2 block from the ball. All of Ali's staff are to be commended for putting on such a fun night. Next time in NYC we will stop by for lunch and say Hi to Ali and his staff at Applebees!

We hope your NYE planning goes smooth and we hope to see you ring in your New Year with all of us at APPLEBEE'S!
